WEEK 8

PROJECT PROGRESS Wireframe Progress After last week's comment on the wireframe, I've made amendments during the whole process. Meanwhile during making the amendments and the process, there are more reference suggested to refer, which is like the interface of Facebook, Instagram, Microsoft teams, Gmail, and many more. It was indeed a challenge to me where all of these are the first time I touch with UI with more knowledge. I've used much time to keep making amendments and research as well as experience with the existing user interface of those existing good apps. To me, I felt it was amazing that I could learn all these knowledge within a short period of time, of course there are much more to learn, but it is really challenging for me to get to know all those principles, rules and many more in a short period of time. I hope for the next face of the project, I could have done more to make the project at the best because I felt it was quite rush for me where I create an app

WEEKLY LECTURE Work shop: UI Grid system Due to the mistakes we have made during creating our wireframes, this week we have a short lecture on the grid system in mobile phones and websites. From the lecture, I realized that the UI in mobile phones and website so much sees on the details, such as the system font size, the icon size, the placement of elements cannot over some gridlines and many more. Therefore, I think it's a useful lecture for me which it lets me have new knowledge in UI that I need to pay attention at these details. Things need to pay attention while doing wireframes : - font size (use from font size guide) - grids for both mobile phones and websites - buttons radius need to be the same - logic flow for user interaction - icon size (refer to icon size guide) - different mobile system has different system guide (IOS and Android)   ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ PROJECT PROGRESS FINAL

WEEKLY LECTURE Case Study This week's we have a short lecture that shows us some case study on the ideas pitching presentation deck. It is to let us refer to how do they do these pitching using strong presentation slide with good and useful information inside the deck.  The case study that the lecturer shows us is Airbnb, Grab and Linked In. It is quite useful to me as I'm confused with the slow pitching deck as well as some valuable information to be included in the presentation deck.  Meanwhile, I have a rough idea of my presentation slide flow, which some of it refers to the requirements in the assessment brief while some are personally added in. Therefore, I've written down the important information that I wanted to be included in the slide : - project name - project description - questions (for interacting with the audience) - facts (with citations) - problem - objective - research question - research method - user persona & user stories - user scenario & use

WEEK 5

WEEKLY LECTURE Pitching This week's class is about "pitching", as in idea pitching. I've always heard this word when comes to presentation for companies, where usually people having ideas pitching to develop or to invest in a product. As "coming up with good ideas is hard, but convincing others to do something with them is even harder", pitching is bringing an idea to someone with the power that can pursue someone.  (Scott Berkun, 2005) Things we need to pay attention in pitching ideas: - Ask ourselves the 5ws (what, when, where, why, who) and how - the objectives & goals of the project - the purpose of the project - who is our target audience - our unique selling point (the features) - how will the projects works - when and where we are going to launch the project (Scott Berkun, 2005) Our Idea pitching presentation slide must: - simple & clear - have analogies to back up our points - have a clear idea of what our project about before going into deta

WEEK 4

WEEKLY LECTURE Project Documentation This week class is about project documentation. Project documentation means to keep track of and document down the whole process of our project. It plays an important role when we are doing projects is because it helps us identify the mistakes we have done during the project and how we would like to solve the problem after realized there are problems in our project. Hence, we need to have a prototype before developing the real product out in order to let us see if the projects we've been doing really works or not. Well, the benefits that a prototype gives is that it allows us to collect feedback from users when we are in the process of planning an app or website or any products. Which, it allows us to improve our product based on user feedback. Therefore, usually after done with the prototype, it is necessary to do a usability test. Prototype types: - paper prototype - digital prototype - videos - storyboards and many more Workshop : User Inte

WEEK 3

WEEKLY LECTURE This week's class is about ethic, which is the risk and protocol. The reason we are having this as part of the lecture class is to let us understand the possibility of risk throughout the project, hoping to help the students in lower down the risk during the project. Therefore, all students are required to obtain ethical approval before conduct any research including interviews, focus groups, case studies and many more that involves sensitive topics.  From this class of lecture, I understand and realized that a project there are so much we need to consider before getting started with a project . We need to note down all the progress in details in order to let us figure out if there is any risks in the project. Meanwhile, it help us to identify our project's size and how our project will going to be like. When it comes to the level of risk, there are low, medium and high risk. In which I found that my project is somehow will touch the topic that is related to vu

CLASS EXERCISE This week's classes focuses on our projects where the lecturer gave us some class exercise in order to let us know how to start with the project. Therefore, what we did for the class exercise was to think about the questions for the questionnaire survey of our project. It is to let us understand our project's target audience. The document shown below is the questionnaire drafts that would be asked in the survey. It is separated into 2 categories, the disabled ( primary target audience ) and the employers (secondary target audience). Both categories will be asking basic information first, then following by the answers I would like to search for. After some discussion of my questionnaire drafts with the lecturer, I was being suggested to look into a few points for further improvement: - what company that provides these job opportunities for the disables - are these companies have friendly facilities for these disabled if they are to hire them - what are the local d
